I'm a huge fan of Mamoru Oshii's animated film **GHOST IN THE SHELL**, and this is the original manga that inspired it.
The manga is famous in Japan for its deep and complex science fiction. I've read it several times myself, but I still can't say I fully understand everything. That's part of what makes it so fascinating.
Even so, it's one of the most important works in Japanese science fiction. It has inspired numerous anime adaptations as well as live-action films over the years.
Now, in July 2026, **Ghost in the Shell** returns once again as a new TV anime series.
The new series embraces the spirit of the original manga, bringing many of its unique visual storytelling techniques to the screen. If you're interested in anime or science fiction, this is definitely one to watch.

熱烈なファンなのですが、こちらはその原作の漫画です。
原作は日本では難解なSF漫画として有名で、
私も何度か読んではいるのですが、内容を理解しているとは到底言えない状態です。
日本のSF漫画を語る上で、絶対に外せない作品です。
この漫画を原作に、多くのアニメーション、実写映画が作られました。
そして2026年7月、また新しくテレビシリーズとして
アニメーションが公開されています。
原点回帰とも言うべき、漫画の技法をアニメーションに多く取り入れた
作品になっており、ぜひ見て欲しい一作です！
